Duration:
Cabin Attendants are employed on permanent full time Contracts.
Training:
Initial Training in all aspects of the job will be given by the Company at no cost to the employee. This will be a 4 week course held in Amsterdam. Candidates must pass written and practical examinations.
Probation:
Employment is subject to a probationary period of a minimum of 6 months duration. Failure to reach the required standard during the probationary period may result in the extension of the probationary period or in the termination of employment.
Salary:
The Company shall pay a basic salary at the rate of £12,329.00 per annum. After 6 months of successful completion of the probationary period, the basic salary rises to £13,350.00 per annum. In addition to this, Flight pay is accrued at £2.14 per hour for every hour away from base. Cabin crew can expect to earn approx £4,000 per annum as flight pay expenses.
Annual Leave:
The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March. The employee is entitled to 35 days holiday, 8 of which represent the public holidays in the UK, and 9 which represent associated days.
Payment during sickness:
During the first thirteen weeks service, there shall be no entitlement to payment of part wages/salary during sickness or accident absence. After 3 months of employment, employees are entitled to 6 weeks sick pay. This rises as the length of service increases, and after 3 years continuous employment, employees are entitled to a maximum of 26 weeks sick pay.
Pension:
Entry into the Company’s contributory pension scheme is optional for all staff. KLM Cityhopper uk has nominated Standard Life as its Stakeholder Pension Provider. Full details of the scheme are set out in an explanatory leaflet, should employment be offered.
Termination:
The notice period required to be given by the employee is 4 weeks.
